New Course; The Diploma in Business Management
 

DBS are delighted to introduce a brand new course; the Diploma in Business Management, in conjunction with ISME Skillnet.

 

The 10-day Diploma in Business Management aims to provide SME owner managers with both academic knowledge and practical SME business management skills. Students will apply appropriate academic theories and concepts to a range of business and management issues. During the course, students have the opportunity to add value to both their employers and themselves on a daily basis. In addition to providing a comprehensive knowledge of each of the major management disciplines, the programme is designed to ensure that students will have an opportunity to implement their learnings to their SME business to improve their performance.

 

This diploma provides students with an in-depth knowledge of five key management areas including management, communications, finance, human resource management and marketing and sales.

 

A key feature of this unique and innovative business management programme, is an additional half day one-to-one executive coaching or mentoring session.

 

This will be a crucial part of the programme as participants need guidance and some time to think and overcome potential pitfalls or obstacles in implementing change within their SME’s.

 

Induction for this programme is provisionally scheduled for next Thursday, October 4th, and the programme dates are as follows:

  • 17th January 2019
  • 14th February 2019
  • 14th March 2019
  • 18th April 2019
  • 16th May 2019
  • 13th June 2019

This programme is partially funded by Skillnet Ireland. The fees for this programme are €1,795 for ISME members and €1,995 for non members.

DBS wins top prize at Education Awards 2018
 

DBS has been named the winner of the top award at the National Education Awards 2018 for Overall Excellence in Education, also picking up the award for Best College of Business on the night. The prizes were awarded at a Black Tie gala dinner in the Ballsbridge Hotel in Dublin. DBS had been nominated in 5 categories in total.

 

The overall award recognises the general excellence of DBS as an education provider, a fact also reflected in our nomination in no less than 5 categories on the night - for best College of Business, Library Team, Student Experience, Student Campus and the Career Impact Strategy Award.
