Dublin Business School (DBS), in conjunction with HEA as part of the Springboard+ 2020/21 initiative, will be offering a number of Government funded Springboard+ programmes. These programmes are in the area of Fund Accounting,Big Data, RegTech, FinTech, Software Development, Web & Cloud Technologies . These programmes will run in the evening on a part time basis.
These courses are currently available to those in receipt of the social welfare payments listed below, subject to meeting the eligibility and academic entry requirements as listed on www.dbs.ie/springboard. All DBS Springboard+ and HCI programmes are fully accredited by Quality & Qualifications Ireland (QQI) and span Levels 7 & 8 on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ), to suit applicants with a range of prior qualifications and experience.
Applicants must be in receipt of one of the following payments from the Department of Social Protection:
- Jobseekers Benefit
- Jobseekers Allowance
- One Parent Family
- Disability Allowance
- Qualified Adults of Working Age
- Carers Allowance
- Farm Assist/Fish Assist
- Widow's, Widower's or Surviving Civil Partner's Contributory or Non-contributory Pension
- Blind Pension
- Deserted Wives Allowance
People in receipt of the Covid-19 Pandemic Unemployment Payment (PUP) can apply for a Springboard+ part-time course. The fee will be waived for these applicants. It is however the responsibility of the applicant in receipt of a PUP payment to discuss retaining a DEASP payment with their case officer in their local INTREO office when their offer is accepted and before they complete first registration for the course through www.springboardcourses.ie

Under the Human Capital Initiative (HCI) Pillar 1, DBS is also offering incentives places for graduates to reskill in areas of skills shortage and emerging technologies such as Digital Marketing, Aviation Finance, via graduate conversion courses. As you are aware these full time programmes are also available to people receiving the various accepted Social Welfare payments, homemakers, those currently working and recent graduates, subject to meeting the eligibility and academic entry requirements as listed on www.dbs.ie/springboard.

These courses are 100% free to people receiving the various accepted Social Welfare payments and homemakers, and a 10% fee contribution is applicable to those currently working and recent graduates, subject to meeting the eligibility and academic entry requirements as listed on www.dbs.ie/springboard.
