Coronavirus Advice

You would all be aware of the media coverage in relation to the Coronavirus situation and the regions where people have become infected with the virus. The Irish Government is advising against all but essential travel to China. 

DBS is advising all students at this time to postpone or defer their travel to China and its associated territories (Hong Kong, Macao) until such time as the situation becomes clearer.  

If any of you have recently traveled to China, particularly over the last 4 to 6 weeks, or have come into contact with anyone who may have traveled to China during this time period, and are experiencing the symptoms listed below, please contact a GP immediately and follow their advice.  

In this case do not attend classes, the DBS Campus, any DBS-related activity, or any social events, until you have been given the all-clear to do so by your GP. 

Symptoms include

  • Fever
  • Coughing
  • Sneezing
  • Shortness of breath
  • Breathing difficulties.  

If the unlikely event that your GP confirms that you have contracted the virus please advise the College immediately via e-mail at student.services@dbs.ie

DBS is actively monitoring the advice being issued by the Health Protection Surveillance Centre (HPSC) and other Irish and International agencies and are following this advice. we will continue to issue updates as they become available.
