The Careers Coaches have had the pleasure of visiting a majority of you over the last 3 weeks and we are delighted that we had the opportunity to tell you all about the Careers Hub and essentially how we can support and empower you to achieve career success. We encourage you all to join the LinkedIn group, this is where you will find employment opportunities that range from full-time, part-time, internships and graduate programmes. This is also the first stop where we will post any upcoming events that we are either hosting or employers are hosting for our students.
Make sure to browse the website, which has been populated with careers content and is accessible 24/7 for students. This ranges from recorded workshops, external links to careers resources, calendar and much more.

Uncover all your career options at gradireland Live! It is taking place virtually Thursday, 11 March starting at 11.00 am and ending at 4.30 pm. This event will expand your skills, build your confidence, and help you find your career direction!

We want a go-getter, a creative force; someone who reflects the values of our brand in terms of standing out, being different, and helping others. They will actively encourage students to use Pineapple to create opportunities for themselves.
All students have to do is:
Go to Google Play or the App store and download the app.
Once you have downloaded the app, its time for you to get creative and add to your story why you would be a good brand ambassador and how they will help grow the pineapple community on the DBS Campus.
Click the link to submit your application with your pineapple.
Pineapple will pick the top three stories to be brought through for a interview with the founding team and a winner will be decided from there.
There will be merch and runner prizes for the other two people - You know we love free stuff!!
A Day in the Life of a Coach
In times of uncertainty, the Careers Hub would like to invite you to join us on Wednesday the 3rd of March at 2pm as we listen to a Success Coach share insights that can help DBS students to turn their passions into a career and achieve success!
Johanne O’Halleron, a Senior HR Professional and Success Coach for Mum’s will be virtually joining the Careers hub to share her story of how she spent 17 years in HR across various levels, climbing the corporate ladder trying to find her "place" and not really fitting in or fully enjoying what she did. Her favourite part of HR was helping people achieve their goals and reach new heights but it never occurred to her that she could turn her passion into a business or career.
Johanne believes that there is nothing you cant achieve with the right mindset, passion and focus and now she takes immense pride in showing women the steps to take to achieve their goals and passion in life without restrictions. The very first step to success is creating an empowered self-image that serves you. Get that right and the rest starts to fall into place"

Workshops are held every Tuesday and Thursday via zoom.
This event will focus on the non-technical (i.e business-related) student opportunities available in Amazon's German offices. The webinar will start with an introduction to Amazon, then recent student hires will talk about their experience and projects. Recruiters will talk about the various opportunities and discuss the application process and share some tips. We will then finish with a Q&A. Click here to register!
