LogMeIn tripling Irish workforce
90 jobs on the way to Dublin EMEA office

Cloud software company LogMeIn is expanding its Dublin EMEA office, adding 90 skilled roles including technical, sales, marketing, finance, HR and IT over the next three years. With many positions open to applicants already here, LogMeIn’s total Ireland employee numbers will have tripled by the end of this jobs push.

Based in Dublin since 2012, it currently employees 45 people in Ireland, with offices elsewhere in Boston, Bangalore, Budapest, London, San Francisco and Sydney. With millions of users worldwide, LogMeIn’s cloud-based solutions make it possible for people and companies to connect and engage with their workplace, colleagues, customers and products anywhere, anytime. It’s a nice tool for those who use satellite IT support, for example. “Dublin provides an excellent base for LogMeIn’s presence in this thriving market and has quickly become our international hub for attracting and supporting our rapidly expanding user and customer base,” said Michael Simon, LogMeIn’s co-founder & CEO. “The location is also a key advantage to attracting innovative thinkers and new talent to help us capitalise on some of today's most transformative market opportunities. The ongoing investment and office expansion in Ireland is a testament to our recognition of Dublin as one of the best markets in the world for attracting top high-tech talent.”

To accommodate the new positions, the company is expanding its office space, with the investment supported by the IDA. “LogMeIn’s plans to further increase its workforce at their new office in Dublin’s Grand Canal Dock is another vote of confidence in Ireland’s growing tech hub,” said Martin Shanahan, CEO IDA Ireland. “It also demonstrates the strength of the talent pool that is available in Ireland.  IDA Ireland is constantly in contact with companies to discuss further expansions and we’re thrilled that Ireland has been identified as a key location for LogMeIn in its continued global expansion.”

Read What Our Graduates Have to Say About ICT Skills at DBS

“As a recent graduate of a Higher Diploma in Science in Computing from Dublin Business School, I would describe the course as intensive, challenging and highly rewarding. The workload and commitment of the Higher Diploma in Science in Computing required a massive amount of dedication, hard-work and adaptability from each student. After its completion I now view choosing it as one of the best decisions I have ever made. Through completing the course I have obtained a position with a well-respected large multinational organisation. Without the course and Dublin Business School’s contacts in the jobs market this would not have been possible. I know I still have a lot to learn to further progress in my new career but Dublin Business School has given me the confidence and foundations, to succeed through life-long learning.”

Keith O’Brien, Higher Diploma in Science in Computing
