Why DBS? Make the right choice for your Evening Diploma programme and unlock your potential in 2014!

Our students value the student focus that our lecturers and support staff offer. At DBS, this is the key factor in our service delivery. We recognise that you may need different types of support as you progress through your studies, academic direction, career advice, mentoring or personal attention. We offer a comprehensive service in these areas to all our students.

Along with our student centred approach to learning we understand that before returning to education there will be many key considerations that you will have to make, whether it be organising childcare, combining study with full-time employment or other personal commitments. For that reason we at DBS take a holistic view to college life.

The work/life/study balance is something we regard at DBS as being vitally important to student success. Accordingly we organise, through our dedicated support staff to ensure that all our students are fully equipped to successfully complete their chosen programme.

Here's what our recent graduate John Bissett had to say
Professional Evening Diploma Accounting & Finance

"Having looked at various colleges, I chose the evening diploma in Accounting and Finance course at DBS because it offered the most comprehensive approach to the subject. I wanted to expand my knowledge of Accounting and finance for my current job, while building a foundation to further my career, the course helped me achieve this.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at DBS. The lecturers were all excellent, each one had worked in the field in which they were teaching, so there was no disparity between the theory and practical application of what was being taught. The small class sizes provided the opportunity to ask questions and meant that you got to know the lecturers personally. The course work and notes were excellent and made otherwise challenging subjects quite manageable.

The city centre location was ideal for me because I work in town. All of the staff at DBS were friendly and helpful. The facilities were excellent, in particular the Aungier Street library which had extended hours around exam time. I made plenty of friends on the course and we still keep in touch, it was a great experience both professionally and personally. I am strongly considering returning to DBS for a degree course".
