DBS Update

During this unprecedented time of COVID-19, we have had to look at new ways of doing things. We closed our buildings and moved everything online. Last week DBS delivered 1,640 pre-recorded or live online lectures and live online tutorials, with over 3,500 learners participating. DBS prides itself on its community spirit and in making a difference. These are trying times, but our DBS community is still going strong.

Our Admissions Department is still progressing with applications for the September intake, and are available to answer any queries you may have.

We hope to welcome you to our campus soon.

Third Level Graduate Scheme
Stay Back Option

The Irish government has agreed to a policy which now allows international postgraduates to stay in the country for up to two years after finishing their degree.

The policy extends the Third Level Graduate Scheme to non-EU/EEA residents who have studied in Ireland to be eligible to legally work for 40 hours per week. As well as that, after two years they may apply for a Green Card or a work permit.

This policy increases the ‘stay back option’ for students at level 9 or 10 of the Irish National Framework of Qualifications from the previous 12 months now up to 24 months. It is now valid for any international student who is studying for a master’s degree, postgraduate diploma, doctoral degree, or higher doctorate.

Student Testimonial

'DBS was the logical choice for my study because of the location - which is in city centre and easily accessible. I took up a Social Science course in the hope of pursuing a career in Social Work but I did not anticipate the impact it would have on me, it has opened lots of doors for different career paths along with increasing my awareness that I can reach my potential.'
