CAO Late Application Date
Changed your mind about college and missed the CAO closing date on Feb 1st?


Worry not! Late applications to CAO will open on the 5th March and are available to anyone who is not already in the 2016 CAO application system. This may also be of particular interest to people under 23 years of age who want to change course and start in year one of a different course, or FETAC level 5 students who want to continue their studies in a similar area. The fee for Late Applications is €50 for online applications and €80 for paper applications. You can apply on the CAO website. Closing date for Late applications is 1st May 2016 at 5:15pm.

Upcoming Open Evenings at DBS

Would you like to study at DBS? Come along to our next Open Evening for CAO students in our Aungier Street campus on Tuesday March 8th from 5-7pm.
There'll also be two more events taking place on Tuesday May 10th and Tuesday June 7th.


Whether you know what you want to do next year, or your still trying to figure that out; our Open Events are an ideal opportunity for you to visit the college and get further information on all our undergraduate programmes.  You can speak with lecturers in all areas across our Business, Arts and Law programmes to identify the course that you feel is most suitable to your future development.

Where will you go?

  • BA (Hons) Arts - Graduates are currently working in the film, radio and theatre industries. Further pathways include teaching, lecturing, advertising, business, the health services, the government and a range of other areas.
  • BA (Hons) Psychology - Graduates have progressed into areas such as social work and teaching. A postgraduate qualification is normally required if graduates are to find work as a professional psychologist.
  • BA (Hons) in Business - Business graduates have progressed into careers in marketing, sales, operations, information technology, finance and general management.
  • Bachelor of Laws (Hons) - For those wishing to train as a solicitor or barrister. Sports Clubs

  • Sports Clubs at DBS are at the heart of our Student Experience. With around 30 Sports Clubs to choose from ranging from field sports to water sports, there is something for everyone.
  • We welcome participation at all levels, from competitive to recreational students, and we hope to give each of our students the opportunity to be involved in the sports that they love.

  • Not a fan of labouring around the sports field in the wind and rain? Want to improve your skills, sharpen your talents and make lots of new friends? Then you should join one of the exciting societies at DBS. Our societies bring together students who share a common interest – such as performing, running events, holding debates or trying their hand at something completely new.
  • At DBS we offer over 35 fun Societies to choose from with Film, Law, LGBT, Dance, Photography and the Psychology Society just some of the ones on offer.
