The jobs include managerial roles and staff for new and existing shops and it expands across the country. It hopes to fill the roles by the end of the year. Recent figures from Kantar World Panel, showed Aldi had 8pc of the Irish market - up 22pc on a year ago in a very competitive market. It already has over 100 stores across Ireland and employs about 2,500 people. Niall O'Connor, managing director of Aldi in Mitchelstown, Cork, said attractive packages are being offered for new staff. "The financial and benefits packages we offer are extremely competitive, with our average hourly rates some 30pc above the industry norm," he said. "We also have one the highest staff satisfaction and retention rates in the industry, with many of our team still with us from our earliest days in Ireland."
