We have designed this Advanced Diploma programme specifically for project managers, team members and senior managers who in addition to obtaining an Advanced Diploma in Project Management may also intend to take the Project Management Institute's PMP® examination. Our course focuses on predictive (Waterfall), Agile and hybrid methodologies to help build your knowledge and understanding of these areas.
Incorporating preparation for the Project Management Institute (PMI)® Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification examination, the main focus of this course will centre on the five traditional projects management processes groups of Initiation, Planning, Execution, Control and Close-out, as well the new concepts of system for value delivery, principles, project performance domains and models, methods, artifacts, together with the increasingly popular Agile project delivery concept and techniques.
Additionally students will:
• Comprehend the characteristics of contemporary organisational approaches to project management.
• Gain an insight into the Project Management Institute (PMI)®, 2017, A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide), sixth edition, the newly released, A Guide to the Project Management Institute (7th ed, 2021) and the Agile Practice Guide. Especially its processes and knowledge areas.
• Understand the Project Management Institutes PMP® certification process.
•Evaluate the importance of effective management of project phases over the project life cycle.
•Develop competencies in methods, tools and techniques a project manager should use for successful project delivery.
• Analyse the skills and competencies required of the project manager and project team.
