DBS Careers Service joins forces with the Student Services Team
|
DBS Careers and Placements have recently merged with Students Services that include the services of Student Welfare, International and local Support, Sports Development, Clubs and Societies. The merger comes due to newly appointed Denise McMorrow as Head of Careers and Student Services (CSS). The team will be looking after career support and development , events, sports and society activities on a national and international level and student welfare . The department's aim is to help students to maximise their potential and make their time in DBS a fun learning experience. The key emphasis is to engage DBS students with staff and employers so that the students can prepare themselves to succeed in the many and varied roles they will undertake in future life. DBS offers a comprehensive range of extra-curricular activities, be it sports, societies, part-time work, internships, entrepreneurial schemes or volunteering. We encourage students to recognise the value of these activities as part of their development during their time at college. Engagement with non-academic pursuits is not only beneficial to student development, but is known to be highly valued by employers and the DBS Careers and Student Services team is dedicated to providing many opportunities for you. Would you like more information? For further information on these services at DBS, please contact the team by emailing careersservice@dbs.ie or studentservices@dbs.ie.
