New Programme - MSc in Information & Library Management
For those wishing to pursue a career in Information & Library Management on a professional level.


The MSc in Information and Library Management provides learners with the applied professional knowledge and competencies required of a manager within the information and library sector. The programme also enables existing library personnel to obtain a professional library qualification for promotional purposes.


The programme is taught by a combination of experienced academic staff and senior industry practitioners. Built into the programme is an industry relevant work placement of three weeks or equivalent duration.


Work experience placements are coordinated by an Employer Liaison Officer from the DBS Careers Department. Learners with relevant experience are exempt from this element of the programme but are facilitated should they wish to partake.  

Placements secured in the previous articulation of the programme include the libraries of the Irish Film Institute, National College of Ireland, Arthur Cox Solicitors, Dublin Dental Hospital, NUI Maynooth, RTE and the Irish Hospice Foundation.



The MSc in Information & Library Management is offered;
Full -Time  - 1 Year
Part -Time  - 2 Years (two evenings per week)
