DBS is now accepting applications for our wide range of diploma courses starting in February. We deliver courses across the areas of Accounting, Business, Management, Finance, IT, Psychology, Law and Digital Media. Join thousands of people who took the step and decided to up skill and enhance their career prospects at DBS.



Our diploma programmes run from between 10 weeks and one year and are a brilliant way to enhance your skills, knowledge and career prospects while being structured to fit in with a busy lifestyle.

Open Events at DBS
At DBS we hold a number of Open Events  throughout the year. These Open Events are an ideal opportunity for you to visit the college and obtain further information on all of our Professional Evening Diploma programmes. You can speak with industry specialist lecturers to identify the programme that is most suitable to your future development.

Our next Open Event will take place our Aungier Street campus on Tuesday March 8th from 5-7pm.
We'll also have two more Open Evenings on Tuesday May 10th and Tuesday June 7th. You can also call in to our Aungier Street campus anytime during the week from 8.45 - 9.15 and speak with a member of our Admissions Team who will be happy to speak to you about the diploma options available to you. More information and contact options are available in the 'An Extra Service' box in this newsletter.

Focus on: Diploma in Digital Marketing and Strategy
The Diploma in Digital Marketing and Strategy runs for one evening a week over 12 weeks. This exciting course brings together all the necessary skills required to design, build, manage and measure effective online and digital campaigns. Students will learn how to use social media effectively, develop and execute digital strategies and acquire an understanding of Online Sales Optimisation. 

Students come from a range of different professions. Many come from medium and large enterprises, agencies and also there tends to be a mix of entrepreneurs and individuals who are looking to either develop new business ideas or make a career switch.

SPOTIFY ACQUIRES IRISH COMPANY

Irish Music App company, Soundwave, were celebrating today after being acquired by global music giant, Spotify.

The Soundwave App has been downloaded over 1.5 million times across 190 countries in 14 languages.

It has been voted by Apple as “Best Innovation in Music” and has been permanently positioned globally by Google in the Android “Editors Choice” sections alongside only 50 other apps out of over 1.5 million.

A statement on the company's website read, "The music industry is changing, and its changing fast. We think now is the perfect time for Soundwave to join forces with Spotify, the #1 music streaming service in the world and the perfect home for us to continue our mission.

Our Professional Evening Diploma programmes are structured to address the constraints of modern work and lifestyle commitments. The courses run either one or two evenings per week (depending on the programme) between 6.15pm and 8.30 or 9.30pm and the duration varies between 10, 14, or 25 weeks to a year long. 



All our programmes have been designed and developed in collaboration with industry and the professional bodies so that on completion in addition to your academic qualifications, you will have the skills and knowledge to apply to your career.
