100 new IT jobs in Dublin as Abtran expands

Abtran is hiring 100 new employees as part of a major expansion in its consulting and technology services division in Dublin’s IFSC.

Already employing 2,000 people throughout Ireland, the IFSC office will triple in size upon the completion of this hiring drive.

The new roles announced today include positions for business, technical and data analysts, applications developers, digital media specialists, programme managers, project managers, training managers and change management professionals.

“This expansion is a great opportunity for our employees to grow and develop their careers with Abtran,” said Michael Fitzgerald, CEO of the company.

“Our consulting and technology services are about adding value to our clients whilst giving our employees an opportunity to apply their knowledge in a practical, hands-on way.”

IT jobs in Dublin: A fintech driver

Established in 1997, Abtran has offices in Cork, Dublin and London, providing customer and business process management services.

The company designs and delivers service solutions that it claims can achieve better outcomes for clients across the public and private sectors.

Simon Harris, Minister of State with special responsibility for the OPW, Public procurement, and International Banking, lauded the announcement as just one example of Ireland’s booming fintech industry.

“Today’s announcement is a welcome vote of confidence by Abtran in Ireland’s continuing economic recovery. These 100 new positions illustrate where Ireland’s financial services and technology sectors must aim for in terms of creating and attracting high value and high-skilled jobs into our economy.

“Abtran, a leading light in Ireland’s BPO cluster is perfectly placed to capitalise on our thriving international financial services sector, in terms of third party risk, compliance and data analytics services.”
