Six things you can do to maximise your chances of success in exams!
|
1. Study plan Make a study plan and stick to it! Take a look at our self-study guides to help you do this. Importantly, make sure you include a range of different styles of questions in your study plan. Also, specify which questions you will do in full to time and which ones you will write plans for. 2. Attend a course If you are able to, consider including time to attend a retake or revision course with an Approved Learning Partner (such as DBS). These will give you the chance to really understand what you need to know for your exam. 3. Do a mock exam Again, if you are able to, schedule in time to attend a mock exam day offered by one of our Approved Learning Partners or do a mock exam online. These will provide you with feedback and help you to focus your last few days of revision time. Also, include time to practise at least one mock exam in full to time. This could be a mock from the Approved Content Provider question bank or perhaps the specimen exam. 4. Check out the resources ACCA has some great resources to help you around exam technique. Make sure you factor some time in to review all the exam technique and technical articles as well as the study support videos. 5. Visit the Learning Community Use the ACCA Learning Community to link up with fellow students around the world studying the same exam as you – get tips, join discussions and share ideas and advice. You can also access live Q&A sessions and presentations. 6. Last, but not least... Remember to personalise your edition of Student Accountant so you receive specific information as you need it to help you with your next exam(s).
