Focus on DBS School of Arts

Do you know the range of courses that we offer within the School of Arts

In 1999 DBS acquired the School of Arts from LSB College and since then we have continued to offer students a wide range programmes in the areas of Arts and Humanities. This acquisition subsequently led to us to become Irelands first private college to be awarded accreditation from the Psychological Society of Ireland.

Programmes on offer in the school include areas such as Psychology,   Counselling & Psychotherapy, Social Science, Film Studies, Film Literature & Drama and Journalism.

DBS is also renowned for the fantastic range of School of Business programmes which offer students the opportunity to study Accounting, Marketing, Information Systems, Business and Law. Check out the complete list of School of Business programmes today.

Flexible study times to suit you

The flexibility of studying part time ensures students benefit, by being able to remain in full-time employment. Studying in this way means you are also able to apply your learning directly to your work which can lead to further progress in your studies.

There is usually less of a personal burden with many employers providing sponsorship, meaning you can improve your career prospects without needing to take a break from employment. Also if you are a self-funding student you still have the capability to maintain full-time employment whilst obtaining a world class education.

You can benefit from all the college resources available to full time students. We have a vast online learning resource including many key journals. There is an extensive support network available to help you manage your work and commitments. Students attend class two evenings per week with flexibility in timetables to work with busy work committments.

After starting your course, you will be able to select the modules you would like to focus on. At this point you will know how much of your time you will need to be on campus for contact time during the term. So why not apply online today.
