DBS to be representated at CIMA Global Buisness Challenge 2014

DBS will be represented at the CIMA Global Business Challenge on 13 June 2014 at IT Tallaght. The team, led by Ian Browne, consists of three part-time and one full-time BA Hons Accounting & Finance students. The team has been working progressively on their entry every Sunday in the college since April.

The CIMA Global Business Challenge is an international business competition for undergraduates around the world, designed to bring out the best in the young business leaders of tomorrow.

By working together as a team of four to present a business case study, it is a great opportunity for students to showcase their talent in business management, and learn how to become business leaders of the future. Regional winners have the opportunity to win a place at the global final in India.

The competition is organised in partnership with Barclays, who share the CIMA vision of developing and nurturing young talent around the world.

By taking part, students will not only experience what it is like to be a business leader, but they will also meet some of the top global employers in the world of business.
Taking part in the competition will also support students with skills such as:

Business experience

  • Learn how to analyse and solve a real life business case study, giving students firsthand experience of the skills required to be a business leader
  • Enhancing team building skills and developing presentation skills
  • Boosting their CV and enhancing their career development
  • Experience what it is like to study CIMA and be a chartered management accountant

Networking opportunities
