Testimonial from a recent BA (Hons) Counselling & Psychotherapy graduaute
 |
“I chose Dublin Business School to study for my BA in Counselling & Psychotherapy for a variety of reasons. As a full-time worker the modular nature of the degree course initially appealed to me – the academic timetable afforded a manageable level of flexibility, and indeed one could decide the number of years over which to complete the degree. But the primary reason was the regard in which the degree programme is held externally. The IACP accredited degree is a qualification in integrative psychotherapy, as such the training spans a number of psychotherapy models such as humanistic, psychoanalytic, existential, CBT. There is a healthy balance of academic and experiential skills training, the latter comprising group analysis, psychotherapy role plays and group project work. The academic tutors and skills trainers are highly talented and respected within the psychotherapy community. My final year thesis allowed me to focus on an area of interest – psychodynamic processes within organisations. I presented my work at the 2013 IAHIP Conference where it was well received. The DBS qualification has now provided me with the necessary requirements to now continue working towards accreditation with IACP” R. Sheehan, BA (Hons) Counselling & Psychotherapy (Graduated 2013)
