Dublin Business School Professional Diploma programmes offer an ideal solution to many of these concerns.
Diploma programmes provide an opportunity for students to taste a subject area; be it Psychology, Legal Studies, Management etc. before committing to a 4 year part time degree course. This enables students to adapt to college life, become accustomed to workloads and assignments and to attending weekly classes and consider their dedication to a particular course before potentially considering a degree.
Should a student decide that a degree may not be a suitable option, they will achieve a diploma upon successful completion of their course. Should students wish to progress, many of our programmes do entitle you to exemptions in our degree courses; please contact our admissions office for more details. Early applications provide ample time to commence payment in installments, which can greatly assist the cost of returning to study. Our Open Events are an ideal opportunity for you to visit the college and obtain further information on all our Full Time Undergraduate Degree programmes and speak with industry specialist lecturers to identify the programme that is most suitable for your future development.

Making your way to DBS Open Evening
Transport links to Aungier Street
A mere two minute walk from St. Stephens Green, the Luas and all main bus routes, DBS is truly in the heart of Dublin city. Our open evening is at 13-14 Aungier Street; just a short walking distance from Grafton Street, Stephen's Green and the Green Luas Line.- You can find us via public transport; with several buses directly serving Aungier Street including: 16, 16A, 19, 9, 65, 65B, 83 or 122. All Bus, DART, Luas and Rail routes service the city centre with terminals close to the College at Aungier Street.
- Secure car parking is also available at Drury Street, Whitefriar Street and Royal College of Surgeons.
- Bike parking can be found on-street on Noel Purcell Walk, Golden Lane and in Drury Street Car Park.

This programme is designed to give the student an understanding of the theoretical and practical skills necessary for success in the business environment. The broad philosophy of this programme is to provide students with an appropriate base of relevant business knowledge, to promote personal development and business career advancement. Students have the opportunity to study many key areas in the business world and are encouraged to use the benefits of the programme to further their careers.
Career Opportunities
On completion of this programme students will have the knowledge and skills to work in a variety of positions which require knowledge in the areas of business, administration, finance or business research.Students may use this qualification to advance within their current role and organization, or may have discovered a particular affiliation for a subject area that may encourage a career change or further study at degree level.
Progression options
For students interested in further study, the Diploma in Business Studies will entitle them to exemptions at Level 1 of some of the Evening Business Degree programmes at DBS.
