Ryanair carried 9.55 million passengers in September, 12pc more than it did in September last year. Its load factor, or percentage of available seats filled, rose four percentage points to 94pc. The airline said that the number of passengers it carried in the 12 months to the end of September rose 16pc to 97.3 million. Ryanair expects to carry 104 million passengers in the 12 months to the end of next March. British Airways owner IAG also released traffic figures for September yesterday. The data includes, for the first time, passenger figures from Aer Lingus. IAG finalised its acquisition of the airline last month. IAG did not break out actual passenger figures for Aer Lingus, but said the total number carried by the group rise 21.8pc to 9.1 million in September.
