Evening Degrees:The right balance for you?
A great option for anyone looking to upskill and improve their career prospects without having to change too much in their daily lives

Benefits of Part Time Study

Time management is usually a big factor with those who decide to study part-time. Evening courses allow you to manage your time effectively.

It could also give you that confidence boost needed to either seek a promotion or even alter your career path, now that you have that extra qualification. Your course may require you to participate in group course work, presentations etc all of which will help build your confidence.

Combining work and study

For those of us out in the working world it’s just not often practical to get time to upskill and, as a result, full-time education isn’t an option. Part-time courses represent a more practical alternative, they are also more cost effective too, but it helps if your company might be willing to contribute towards the expense of the course.

Our Evening Degree in Accounting and Finance
Discover the key features of our popular programme

The BA (Hons) Accounting & Finance degree programme is designed to prepare students for a career in the accounting and finance function in business. According to Recruitment company CPL, Accountancy, finance and banking job postings grew by 10% in the final quarter of last year than in the same period in 2012.

The BA (Hons) Accounting & Finance features a blend of specialised accounting and finance subjects together with general business subjects. It aims to develop an awareness of the international relationships between finance and other business disciplines, to develop a critical and methodical approach to problem solving and decision making in a financial context and to develop the ability to interpret and communicate financial and other information.

It covers a wide range of essential accounting and financial disciplines such as auditing, taxation, financial accounting, management accounting and finance, and also provides options for additional study in areas such as business policy and law. Successful completion of this degree gives substantial exemptions from professional accountancy examinations such as ACCA, ACA, CIMA and CPA.
