Spotlight on DBS's Film Studies programme
The Late Online Application facility opened this week giving you a second chance to fill out that CAO form. That means it's time to start thinking again about your options for September.
DBS are here to help you out with our CAO inspired newsletters. This week we take another look at the BA (Hons) in Film Studies. What makes this programme really unique is the fact that it is the only programme in the country that allows the learner to study Film without having to study something else at the same time. In this way it is a Single Honours programme instead of a Joint Honours or Two-Subject programme.

Important dates for the diary this Summer
With the Online Late Application facility opening this week, its important to be aware of the important CAO dates coming up. For all those applying for courses through the CAO this year, please remember these dates: 1st May 2013 - Closing date for Late Applicants 1st July 2013 - Closing date for Change of Mind
19th August 2013 - Round 1 Offers
28th August 2013 - Round 2 Offers If you have any questions regarding the CAO or these dates, please feel free to contact our admissions office on 01-4177500 and we are happy to help. You may also arrange an appointment with our admissions office to have a one - on - one session to discuss your course choices or assist with your application. To avail of this personal service, please contact the admissions office to schedule your session.

Final DBS Open Event before CAO Late Applications closing date
Did you know that you can still apply to DBS through the CAO even if you haven't already included one of our courses? The CAO Late Application facility will open on 5th March and remain open until 1st May.
If you are in any way concerned or anxious about your chosen course why not pop into one of our upcoming Open Events which can provide you with an ideal opportunity to speak to both Admissions and Academic staff about the programmes in more detail. The Open Event will help to ease any concerns that you have and are also a really good chance to have a look around and get to know the place before you apply. The CAO Late Application facility will close on 1st May - remember, we are here to help.
