What courses are running?

We have just opened applications for the following programmes, so get your application in fast! 

For people who are receiving the various accepted Social Welfare payments (as listed on the Springboard+ website), the following courses are available (part-time):

  • Springboard+ Diploma in Big Data for Business
  • Springboard+ Certificate Digital Marketing
  • Springboard+ Certificate in Fund Accounting
  • Springboard+ Certificate in Programming
  • Springboard+ Certificate in Business Skills

The following courses are also available full-time only for people receiving the various Social Welfare payments accepted by Springboard+:

  • Higher Diploma in Science in Data Analytics
  • Higher Diploma in Science in Computing (Software Development  Stream)
  • Higher Diploma in Science in Computing (Web & Cloud Technologies Stream)
  • Higher Diploma in Science in Computing (IT Infrastructure & Networking Stream)

The following courses are available both full-time and part-time to people currently in emploment:

  • Higher Diploma in Science in Data Analytics
  • Higher Diploma in Science in Computing (Software Development  Stream)
  • Higher Diploma in Science in Computing (Web & Cloud Technologies Stream)
  • Higher Diploma in Science in Computing (IT Infrastructure & Networking Stream)


Classes will begin, depending on the course, between the last week of March & the first week of April.


As places are limited, please be aware that applications are accepted on a first-come first-served basis and your place is not secure until you complete the Springboard+ application process in full and accept your place after you receive your offer.

Dublin Business School (DBS), in conjunction with the Higher Education Authority (HEA) under the Government Springboard+ initiative, is providing the unemployed and employed, the opportunity to re-skill or up-skill for free under a range of approved and accredited courses.

These courses will provide training that will improve the future skills of the labour force, in a range of sectors where sustainable employment is predicted to rise as the economy recovers. 

DBS is delighted to announce that we are also offering a range of free part-time & full-time ICT Skills conversion courses to people currently in employment.

We are currently offering a range of Special Purpose Awards at Level 7 on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) for the unemployed and a range of Level 8 Higher Diploma ICT Skills Conversion programmes for both the unemployed and employed.

These free courses are in the areas of Information & Communications Technology, Cross Enterprise Skills and International Financial Services sector.

All courses are flexible, allowing you to keep your social protection supports and making a transition to study easier for those with families and other responsibilities.

DBS Springboard+ Open Evening: Thursday Feb 23rd
Whether you have applied, or you are thinking of applying, for your free Springboard+ course, make sure you don't miss out on our Springboard+ Open Event on Thursday February 23rd, at 5pm in our Aungier Street Campus.

New: Certificate in Business Skills
We are delighted to announce that our extremely popular Certificate in Business skills has been added to our range of Springboard+ Programmes starting in March.

People who are receiving the various Social Welfare payments that are accepted on Springboard+ courses are eligible to apply for this course.

Ther Certificate in Business Skills, is a Level 6 Special Purpose Award, accredited by QQI and runs over two nights for the duration of the course.
