There was a 33pc increase in the number of professional job opportunities in July compared to the same month last year to 12,887, according to the Morgan McKinley Irish Employment Monitor.

Month on month there was a 16pc increase in the number of professional jobs coming to market while the number of professionals looking for jobs is much the same as July last year.

Morgan McKinley Ireland chief operations officer Karen O’Flaherty said the professional jobs market in July performed ahead of expectations.

“This is in line with strong job creation in 2015 to date and bodes well for the next two quarters of the year.
