CAO Deadline 1st February
Christmas is over, the tree has been taken down and it's the start of a new term. As you return to school you will be thinking more about your future, discussing college and programme choices.

With February 1st just weeks away, the panic to get those CAO forms filled in is starting to build. But don't worry! Whatever area it is you wish to study, DBS is certain to have a programme for you. We offer undergraduate programmes in the areas of Psychology (PSI accredited), Social Science, Journalism, Media, Film, Digital Media, Cloud Computing, Marketing, Event Management and Finance.

We're here to help should you require any information on CAO application procedures and deadline dates, suitable programme choices, entry requirements and the benefits of taking an undergraduate programme at Dublin Business School. Check out our website for detailed information about the different Full-Time Undergraduate programmes offered by DBS. Alternatively, come along to our CAO Open Day, Wednesday 16th January 3-7pm. Our admissions office operates a drop in service from 8:45 - 5:15 Monday to Friday in our Aungier Street building and can be contacted at 01-4177500 or by emailing admissions@dbs.ie

CAO Open Day
Discuss your options for 2013

Come along and discuss your college options at our CAO Open Day on Wednesday January 16th from 3-7pm in our main Aungier Street building.

The Open Event is an ideal opportunity for you to visit the college, obtain further information on our Full-Time Undergraduate programmes and speak with industry specialist lecturers to identify the programme that is most suitable for your future development. The evening poses an ideal chance to ask any questions you may have and discuss programme options prior to making an application to CAO.

Want to find out what college life is really like in DBS? The open evening will allow you to meet with current students and find out all about the different clubs and societies, student events and the students experiences offered in DBS.

Please feel free to drop in anytime between 3 and 7pm and we look forward to meeting you!

How do you apply to DBS?
Everything you need to know to make an application today!
The application procedure in DBS will be determined by two things:

1. The course to which you wish to apply

2. Your age

37 courses appear on the CAO Handbook and therefore, applications are largely made through the CAO, however, where a student is considered 'mature', applications can also be made directly instead.

How do you know if you are considered a mature student?

If you are applying for something in the School of Business, you should be over the age of 21 since January 1st 2012, if you are applying for something in the School of Arts, you should be over the age of 23 since the 1st January 2012.

There is no difference between the two in that students will sit in the same classes and gain the same award regardless of how they applied. If you apply directly to the college you may be required to attend an informal interview in the college but other than that, the entry requirements are exactly the same.

How are mature students assessed once they have applied?

Mature students are assessed on the basis of age, general education standard, work experience and motivation and are not required to present the traditional minimum entry requirements in the form of leaving certificate. If you are a mature student why not contact the Admissions Office today to check if you are eligible to apply?

I am a mature student but I am out of education for a long time and I'm not sure which course is the most suited to me?

Direct applications from mature students are currently being processed and we will begin to arrange interviews in the next month so why not apply today and get the ball rolling? The Admissions Office can offer you advise and guidance on which course would be best for you. We can also offer you advice on completing the application forms and what to send us and when.
