DBS Student Testimonial: Varsha Ann Jacob
Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Project Management
Varsha Ann Jacob, from Bangalore, India, has just completed her MBA in Project Management with Dublin Business School. She was drawn to DBS after reviews that described the college as “one of the top private business schools in Dublin." She tells us "the Project Management course which I chose to do is a very specialized business course that I would recommend as it had the perfect blend of all the business elements to make a good project manager; which I think is a necessary job requirement in any field."

Varsha Ann also explained how the class was taught in different ways, encouraging team work and also simulating real life business scenarios, readying them for a career in project management. Away from studying, Varsha Ann was actively involved in the many extra-curricular activities available to students in the college.

World Mental Health Day at DBS

Monday October 10th, was World Mental Health Day and a number of events took place in the college to mark the occasion. A flash mob push-up challenge took place in the Aungier Street Reception and Castle House common area simultaneously, where DBS students and staff gathered to perform 22 push ups to raise awareness for those battling with Mental Health Issues.

What #LittleThings make you happy? Over the last few days students were invited to write down the little things that make their day better and yesterday they were displayed on the wall in Aungier Street as a reminder of the small things that make a big difference.

On Monday Evening the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) Communications Subgroup presented a public lecture on social anxiety, which over 400,000 of the Irish adult population suffer with. The talk was delivered by Principal Clinical Psychologist, Odhrán McCarthy, and was held in Aungier Street attracting a large audience.

Meanwhile in Castle House, students could forget the stresses of the day at the Student Movie Night where Disney Pixar’s Inside Out was screened with free popcorn and pizza.
