With the CAO closing date of February 1st fast approaching, it is around this time that many students begin to speak to their parents and guardians about their future and their 3rd level education experience. Over the Christmas period, it may be worthwhile sitting down and thinking about what you would really like to do within the future.

Choosing a course can be a difficult choice, so here are some tips to assist you in selecting a course that fits your exact needs:

  1.   What type of person are you? What are your personal qualities, interests and values? Think about your personality and what you love doing.
  2.   What subjects do you find really interesting in school or what subjects are you not too interested in?
  3.   What are your hobbies and interests? What do you love doing inside and outside of school?
  4.   What type of learner are you, e.g. do you learn by doing (Kinaesthetic) or do you find it easier to learn by listening?
  5.   Take a look at courses available to you. Here at DBS we have a wide array of full-time undergraduate programmes on offer across areas including; Business, Computing, Law, Psychology and many more.

Clubs and Societies

Dublin is our campus, it is a historic, vibrant and beautiful city, where there is always something going on. We have over 40 clubs and societies, we have got one to suit everyone. Each week our Student Union arrange exciting and fun events for students. Some events include trips abroad, surf weekends, visiting landmarks around Ireland, hikes, sea swims and plenty more! Students are the primary focus of DBS, and we realise that there is a lot more to college than what goes on in the classroom, what is also hugely important is to have a lively college life making friends and memories that will last long after your time in the classroom has ended.
