Saint Patrick's Day or the Feast of Saint Patrick (Irish: Lá Fhéile Pádraig, "the Day of the Festival of Patrick") is a cultural and religious holiday celebrated annually on 17 March. Saint Patrick's Day is a public holiday in the Republic of Ireland. It is also widely celebrated by the Irish diaspora around the world, especially in Britain, Canada, the United States, Argentina, Australia and New Zealand. St. Patrick’s Day is one of the most popular annual festivals in the world. While the biggest celebrations happen in Dublin, there are plenty of other St. Patrick’s Day parties to check out around the globe. The Third Level Graduate Scheme for non-EU students in Ireland
Third level graduates who have received a primary degree, a postgraduate higher diploma or a masters from an Irish third level educational institution on or after January 1 2007 can apply for this scheme.
A person who qualifies for this scheme (level 8 or upwards qualification) will be granted one non-renewable extension to their current student permission for a twelve month period starting on the day upon which they receive their exam results. This scheme allows the person to work for up to 40 hours a week under student visa arrangements (Stamp 2) and/or to seek employment and apply for further permission to remain in the state under green card or work permit arrangements.
Graduates should apply at the Garda National Immigration Bureau, 13/14 Burgh Quay, Dublin 2.
