Steps to planning your career
|
Step 1 - Self assessment
Career self assessment is designed to assess which attributes are most important to you for a successful and fulfilling career. Recognise your accomplishments, consider your interests, your personality, your values, and your skills to help you focus on a career that is right for you. Self assessment tools can help you. DBS has partnered with Cut-e to offer strong assessment processes and feedback tools to assist in one-to-one sessions on behavioural competencies style and career match aptitudes.
Step 2 - Research Learn as much as you can about different careers and employability in sectors that you are interested in.
Step 3 - Education Gain the skills necessary and focus your talent to increase your employability. Dublin Business School will support you as all our courses are taught by leading professionals so our students know that the knowledge they acquire here will be just as useful in the real world as it is in the classroom. All projects at DBS will include on-the-job training in the form of work experience modules as well as the development of workplace skills required to obtain and retain employment. This includes CV preparation, Interview Skills &Techniques and Job Search Tools along with one-to-one coaching and feedback sessions.
We provide a comprehensive Career Service to all MOMENTUM students.
