BA in Film & Media
With the various forms of media culture that now exist, from cinema, television, radio, print media, advertising to the proliferation of new media practices on the internet, it can be difficult to really understand the way contemporary electronic audio-visual media represents society and shape our understanding of the world around us.
The BA in Film & Media offers learners the opportunity to develop a broad understanding of the various forms of media culture that now exist. consider the ways in which mass media represent social and individual identity, the issues relating to ethnicity, race, gender, and the globalisation of culture. This programme offers students a chance to learn the basic skills involved in digital film productions and will carry out their own media projects, providing them with a range of transferable skills and disciplines that make them attractive to employers.

DBS Students present at the 35th Annual Congress of Psychology Students in Ireland
This year’s Annual Student Congress for Psychology was hosted by IADT from the 12th-13th April. 27 of our students presented oral and poster presentations based on the findings of their undergraduate or postgraduate research thesis, with all 27 DBS students' abstracts published in a supplement of the Irish Psychologist.
