DBS Admissions Office is Now Open

While our physical campus has been closed since March, DBS has continued to be fully operational. We have taken all measures to ensure minimum disruption to our services as the Coronavirus COVID-19 situation evolved. We are very pleased to announce that in line with the Irish Government Reopening Plan our Admissions Office on Aungier Street is now open to deal with prospective student enquiries and applications for September 2020 entry.

The health and safety of our staff and students matter so we've made some important changes to keep everyone safe. If you have questions and would like to speak to a member of the DBS Team we look forward to welcoming you to our Aungier Street campus building where you can expect a safe and informative experience.

We understand you might be feeling a bit nervous so we’ve added some additional safety measures to make sure you feel as safe and comfortable as possible when you come in to see us.

  • We have rearranged our reception area to facilitate visitors who would like to have a face-to-face chat with our admissions staff. We have provided booths with protective screens for the protection of both parties.
  • We strongly encourage you to maintain social distancing guidelines of 2 metres between you and other people when visiting our Admissions Office.
  • Floor markers and queue ropes are in place to show you the recommended distance. The number of prospective students allowed in the building at any one time may be limited, in order to comply with HSE guidelines.
  • We have increased cleaning and sanitation of our buildings.

Our Admissions team is also still contactable by email admissions@dbs.ie and by phone + 353 1 4177500 to answer all your questions.

BA (Hons) in Psychology (PSI accredited) | Part-Time

The Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) accredits the BA (Hons) Psychology degree taught in DBS. PSI is the professional body for psychology in Ireland. As such it seeks to promote the science and profession of psychology in Ireland and beyond. The psychology degree represents the necessary first step to becoming a professional psychologist. The BA (Hons) Psychology is designed to provide an understanding of human thought and behaviours through the application of psychology to a wide range of areas.

Our  degree is informed continually by research, both past and present, and is taught by staff who are also practitioners in various psychology fields. Uniquely the Psychology degree in DBS introduces students to the main concepts and text which the tradition of psychoanalysis offers to the field of psychology.

The course is delivered in an efficient and flexible time scale, and is a beneficial stand-alone degree or can act as a gateway to further become a professional Psychologist. Applications for the September intake are now being accepted. Contact us today on (01) 417 7500 or email admissions@dbs.ie.
