CIMA Syllabus Changes
Changes to the CIMA syllabus from 2015
From January 2015 CIMA will be launching a new syllabus. In order to help you in the run up to the launch of the new syllabus DBS will be providing our students with guidance that will make the transition as smooth and simple as possible.

So what will be changing?
All exams will now be computer based. The existing papers will be set as objective tests with the addition of integrated case studies after each level is complete.

What do I need to do next?
Depending on where you are with your current studies you should try and complete the level that you are currently at in 2014. At Operational and Management levels, this will exempt you from the integrated case study paper. We will be contacting all of our current students and those who have enquired about undertaking CIMA courses at DBS in the coming weeks to provide you with the information that you will need to help you progress through your CIMA pathway.

DBS representated at CIMA Global Business Challenge 2014

DBS was represented at the CIMA Global Business Challenge on Friday 13 June 2014 at IT Tallaght. The team, led by Ian Browne, consists of three part-time and one full-time BA Hons Accounting & Finance students. The team had been working progressively on their entry every Sunday in the college since April.

The CIMA Global Business Challenge is an international business competition for undergraduates around the world, designed to bring out the best in the young business leaders of tomorrow.

By working together as a team of four to present a business case study, it is a great opportunity for students to showcase their talent in business management, and learn how to become business leaders of the future. .

The competition is organised in partnership with Barclays and sponsored by Dublin Business School.

By taking part, students not only benefitted from the experience of what it is like to be a business leader, but they also met some of the top global employers in the world of business.

This years competition was won by students from Letterkenny IT. DBS extends our congratulations to all of the teams that participated in this year's competition. The level of presentations was exceptional from all participants. Regional winners will now have the opportunity to represent Ireland at the global final in India
