It's not all about Honours Degrees in the CAO
Don't forget your Level 6 and Level 7 options

Across the Schools of Business, Arts and Law, DBS has ten Level 7 and six Level 6 programmes on offer through the CAO.

Level 7

Bachelor of Business
Bachelor of Business in Accounting
Bachelor of Business in Information Technology
Bachelor of Business in Marketing
Bachelor of Business in Accounting
BA in Film & Media
BA in Journalism & Media
BA in Social Studies
BA in Legal and Business Studies
BA in Legal Studies

Level 6

Higher Certificate in Business
Higher Certificate in Business in Accounting
Higher Certificate in Business in Marketing
Higher Certificate in Legal Studies
Higher Certificate in Legal & Business Studies
Certificate in Cultural Studies

The great thing about the Level 6 and Level 7 programmes is that they can offer an alternative progression route to an Honours Degree. If you don't get the points for a Level 8 honours degree, you can get started in college with a Level 6 or Level 7. And you don't just have to stop at a Higher Certificate or Ordinary Degree. There are always opportunities for students to progress through DBS to an Honours Degree.

Check out our website for detailed information about all the different Full-Time Undergraduate programmes offered by DBS. Alternatively, you can call into the Aungier Street building, Monday to Friday from 8.45am - 5.15pm to consult with our Admissions team.

Clubs & Societies in DBS

DBS Student Services are an integral part of college life. The Student Services Department caters exclusively for students needs. One of the department’s main roles is the facilitation of personal and academic development. In DBS we take a holistic view to college life. Academia should be integrated with a stimulating social scene.

Having a balance between work and life is something that we regard as important. We offer a variety of support from personal advice to organising sports teams and societies. In DBS we have a strong sporting culture, offering students the opportunity to join a number of teams from Soccor, Rugby and Basketball to Cricket and GAA. If sports isn't your thing, we have over 13 societies that students can join such as the Banter Society, the very popular Film Society and the ever popular Radio DBS. Ultimately the emphasis is on empowering the student and facilitating development.

Check out the Student Services section of the website. Here you can get more information on the services on offer to students and meet the Student Services team.
