Ireland Aims to be the Most Attractive Location in the World for ICT Skills
IDA Ireland Welcomes Announcement of 100 new jobs for Dublin by Salesforce.com

IDA Ireland welcomed the announcement that Salesforce.com, the leading enterprise cloud computing company, is currently recruiting for more than 100 new jobs in sales, business development, marketing and technical IT and support.  The company already employs 300 people at its European Corporate Sales Headquarters in Sandyford, Dublin.

IDA Ireland CEO, Barry O’Leary commenting on the announcement said “This adds to the strong flow of prominent technology and digital media announcements in Ireland in recent months. The growing cluster of cloud computing investments from the world’s leading technology companies enhances Ireland’s reputation as the Internet Capital of Europe.’’

The company is actively recruiting to meet the demands of new business and continued growth and expansion in Ireland.  It’s creating tech-industry jobs at its European corporate sales headquarters in Sandyford, Co Dublin. The new jobs to be filled include corporate sales account executives, business development specialists, marketing as well as roles in technical IT and support and will cover all major European languages.

“These jobs are being created in response to major growth and demand for our cloud computing services across EMEA. The next phase in the cloud computing model is being driven from the changes that are driving the consumer web. The impact of social networking and collaboration, new mobile devices like the iPad, and the drive for real-time information are changing business expectations, the same way they have changed consumer ones” commented Dr Garnett, chairman EMEA, salesforce.com.

Read What Our Graduates Have to Say About ICT Skills at DBS

“As a recent graduate of a Higher Diploma in Science in Computing from Dublin Business School, I would describe the course as intensive, challenging and highly rewarding. The workload and commitment of the Higher Diploma in Science in Computing required a massive amount of dedication, hard-work and adaptability from each student. After its completion I now view choosing it as one of the best decisions I have ever made. Through completing the course I have obtained a position with a well-respected large multinational organisation. Without the course and Dublin Business School’s contacts in the jobs market this would not have been possible. I know I still have a lot to learn to further progress in my new career but Dublin Business School has given me the confidence and foundations, to succeed through life-long learning.”

Keith O’Brien, Higher Diploma in Science in Computing
