Progress to Success: DBS Professional Diplomas can start you on your educational journey
From Diploma to Degree and beyond; study progression options with Dublin Business School

Deciding to return to education or to change career direction can be a daunting task, and there are many things to consider:

  • Will I be able for the workload?
  • Will I like the course?
  • Can I balance work, study and family?
  • Can I afford to return to education?

Diploma programmes provide an opportunity for students to obtain a foundation in a subject area; be it Psychology, Legal Studies, Management etc. before considering a 4 year part time degree course. This enables students to adapt to college life, become accustomed to workloads and assignments and to attending weekly classes as well as consider their dedication to a particular subject before committing to a degree.

Should you decide that a degree may not be a suitable option, you will achieve a diploma upon successful completion of your course. Should students wish to progress, many of our programmes do entitle you to exemptions from our degree courses. Please contact our admissions office for more details.

We are currently accepting applications for Autumn 2013 in the following areas:

Early application also provides ample time to arrange payment in installments prior to course commencement in Autumn. To discuss how a diploma programme could commence your study journey, please contact us at the Admissions office on 01-4177500 or email admissions@dbs.ie

Why DBS? Make the right choice for your Evening Diploma programme this year and unlock your potential in 2013

Our students value the student focus that our lecturers and support staff offer. At DBS, this is the key factor in our service delivery. We recognise that you may need different types of support as you progress through your studies, academic direction, career advice, mentoring or personal attention. We offer a comprehensive service in these areas to all our students both full and part-time.

Along with our student centred approach to learning we understand that before returning to education there will be many key considerations that you will have to make, whether it be organising childcare, combining study with full-time employment or other personal commitments. For that reason we at DBS take a holistic view to college life.

In DBS we take a holistic view to college life. Academia should be integrated with a stimulating social scene. The work/study balance is something we regard at DBS as being important. Accordingly we organise, through our dedicated student services department, a range of social, sports and developmental activities for students.

Dedicated Student  and Career Services Teams
As students are the primary focus of the College it is only appropriate that they should have their  own department. The Student Services Department caters exclusively for students needs. One of the department’s main roles is the facilitation of personal and academic development.

Employability: we’re focused on your career
All our programmes have been designed and developed in collaboration with industry and the professional bodies so that on graduation in addition to your academic qualifications, you will have the skills and knowledge for a successful career.

Should you require any further information on our Evening Diploma Programmes or would like to arrange a one to one discussion with a member of our admissions team please do not hesitate to contact the Admissions Office on (01) 4177500 or admissions@dbs.ie
