Snapchat owner values firm at $25bn for IPO
Snap Inc., the parent company of Snapchat, has filed confidentially for an initial public offering, according to people familiar with the matter.
Snapchat filed papers with the US Securities and Exchange Commission before last week's US presidential election, one of the people said, asking not to be identified as the details are private.The firm is targeting a valuation of $20bn (€18.5bn) to $25bn (€23.3bn) in a listing that could come as early as March, the source said. No final decision has been made on the size or timing of the IPO, they said. Last month, people familiar with the matter said the camera-application maker will seek to raise as much as $4bn at a valuation of about $25 billion to $35 billion.

Focus on: Diploma in Investment and Capital Markets
Course Details
The Diploma in Investment & Capital Markets aims to develop an understanding of the world of capital markets, investing and trading. The course commences with an introduction and in-depth look into the world of the stock market. Building on this, investment strategies, portfolio building, terminology and portfolio management are covered in detail. 

Programme Aims and Objectives
On completion of the programme students should have acquired the skills to:
  • Identify and understand the key macroeconomic and financial factors, which affect stock prices
  • Conduct effective research on publicly listed companies
  • Understand market terminology and practices
  • Understand the operation and mechanisms of both stock and derivative markets
  • Understand and interpret key research data
  • Develop a fundamental understanding of public companies, from both a technical and financial perspective
Programme Structure
The programme is delivered in an interactive way with suggestions and discussions led by pupils. Various techniques and technologies are used to examine certain situations – for example, online trading, technical analysis and diversification.

Duration
This Diploma course is 14 weeks in duration part-time and is due to commence on Thursday 9th February. Classes are scheduled to take place every Wednesday from 6.15pm - 8.30pm.

Course Fees
The fee for the programme is €1,500 and this is inclusive of tuition, registration and exam fees. Fees are due upon acceptance of your place and prior to course registration.
