Open Evening:
Tuesday 7th January 5-7pm

The next DBS Open Evening will take place next week, Tuesday 7th January from 5-7pm in our Aungier Street building.

The Open Evening is an ideal opportunity for you to visit the college and obtain further information on our Evening Diploma Programmes and speak with industry specialist lecturers to identify the programme that is most suitable for your future development. The evening poses an ideal chance to ask any questions you may have and discuss programme options prior to making a application to commence study with us in Spring 2014. You will also get the opportunity to meet with current students and find out what college life is really like in DBS.

Professional Evening Diplomas are skills or interest based programmes which offer you an opportunity to add to your personal, technical or commercial knowledge. These professional, specialist and skills based programmes enable participants to obtain relevant, contemporary and practical skills that will assist your career progression.

The broad range of Professional Evening Diploma Programmes provide you with a choice of skills-based programmes that will appeal to your specific professional needs and requirements. At DBS, these short programmes have been designed in a flexible manner to favilitate the constraints of the working professional. Typically students attend classes one or two evenings per week and the duration of the Evening Diploma Programmes varies from  10  weeks to one academic year, with intensive programmes also offered on a number of programmes.

Diploma in Management Studies

The Diploma in Management Studies provides student with an in-depth knowledge of five key management areas including communications, finance, human resource management and marketing and sales. It is delivered in an efficient and flexible timescale and is a beneficial stand-alone diploma or can act as a gateway to further academic endeavour.

This programme aims to provide students with both academic knowledge and practical management skills. Students will apply appropriate academic theories and concepts to a range of business and management issues. During the course, students have the opportunity to add value to both their employers and themselves on a daily basis. In addition to providing a comprehensive knowledge of each of the major management disciplines, the programme is designed to ensure that students will have the widest range of career and further education opportunities open to them upon completion of the programme
