AdRoll to create 100 new jobs in Dublin office
AdRoll, one of the world’s largest adoptive advert retargeting platforms, has launched new offices in Dublin this week

Last March, AdRoll announced it was going to move its new office and revise hiring plans upwards to 120 staff with expansion in Europe, due to the company’s growth of more than 270pc, which has far exceeded expectations since its launch in the region in 2013.

Currently employing 75 people in Dublin, AdRoll will be hiring across all areas, including sales, finance, account management, business development, and engineering to support customers in a number of languages throughout the EMEA region, with the first phase of 100 employees to be in place by the end of 2014.

AdRoll has also confirmed that after closing a funding round of US$70m last April, it will be doubling its Dublin office space to more than 20,000 sq feet at Burlington Plaza.

AdRoll’s CEO Aaron Bell said the company is excited about the talent it has found in Ireland and the response AdRoll has received since entering the European market.

"In just a few years, retargeting has become as essential as search engine marketing for every digital marketer, and we see the EMEA region as an engine for growth in the years ahead.”

IDA Ireland’s CEO Barry O’Leary welcomed the jobs announcements, saying, “Today’s expansion by AdRoll in Dublin adds to Ireland’s reputation as the premier location for fast-growing innovative companies. Dublin is a recognised European hub of international tech and multilingual talent which continues to attract emerging, high-growth companies like AdRoll, who aspire to become the MNCs (multinational corporations) of the future.”

What can I do with a Business degree?
Careers for business graduates*

If you are considering a degree in a business-related area, you will find a range of careers that are directly related to the qualification.

While many of these careers are open to graduates in any subject, some employers will have a preference for graduates with a business background, and for others it may be a definite requirement. Your degree will provide useful background knowledge, evidence of some of useful skills, and possibly some exemptions from papers in professional examinations.

Many business courses cover a range of subjects, but there are others, such as marketing, which have a specific vocational emphasis and this will also influence your choice of job.

Careers for business graduates

Some of the areas employing business graduates are:

  • accountancy
  • advertising
  • banking, investment and financial services
  • general management
  • HR/ personnel
  • management consultancy
  • public relations
  • retail management
  • sales and marketing.

Employability skills gained from a Business degree

It’s been estimated that 40 per cent of graduate vacancies do not ask for specific degree subjects. Your degree will have helped you develop a range of transferable skills that you can bring to any job. These include:

  • analytical ability
  • communication and presentation skills
  • goal setting
  • leadership skills
  • numeracy
  • problem solving
  • team work
  • time management.
