This is a new approach to providing careers advice and support amongst Irish third-level Institutions. Through innovations such as specific careers pathways, 24/7 access, and the use of technology to deliver workshops and seminars, the tram bring students and employers together, and are instrumental in in our graduates building successful careers in companies as Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Accenture, Hubspot, Version 1 and many others. We are here to listen, support and guide you towards the support you need. Wellbeing is not just for times of crisis; it’s about continuous self-care to nurture our physical, emotional and mental wellbeing. Sense of belonging At DBS we believe that a strong sense of belonging is essential for students' success and wellbeing. We are committed to creating an inclusive and supportive environment where every student feels valued, respected and connected. We encourage students to attend events, join clubs and societies and utilise all available resources. By doing so they can form meaningful friendships, experience personal growth and achieve academic success. DBS aims to create a community where all students can find the support they need. Our Wellbeing team is here to help students integrate, connect with like minded people and engage in social activities. Types of available Well-being Supports Counselling Services: DBS provides FREE counseling support services for all students. To learn more, please contact the Wellbeing Officer. If you are unsure about counseling or simply just want to have a chat, we can also guide you on alternative supports and available resources. GP and Dental: DBS has close ties with the local medical and dental services.For any assistance with mental or physical health-related wellbeing, please contact our DBS Wellbeing Officer by logging a ticket on the student Helpdesk, or drop in to the student service office on the 4th floor of Castle House. All support provided is private and confidential. NiteLine: If you need support or someone to talk to outside of working hours, NiteLine is also available to our students. NiteLine offers confidential support to students between 9pm and 2.30am every night of term. You can call NiteLine on 1800 739 739. During the Academic term Emergency Financial Support: DBS has a fund in place to provide emergency financial aid for students. Examples where students can request emergency funding include for temporary housing, accommodation to avoid homelessness, emergency medical costs, and family emergencies. To apply for financial support contact the student services team. Requests for emergency financial support are assessed by the Student Services Team on a case by case basis and approved by the Head of Student Experience.
