Examine how audio-visual media can shape our understanding of the world around us.
BA in Film & Media
With the various forms of media culture that now exist, from cinema, television, radio, print media, advertising to the proliferation of new media practices on the internet, it can be difficult to really understand the way contemporary electronic audio-visual media represents society and shape our understanding of the world around us.

The BA in Film & Media offers learners the opportunity to develop a broad understanding of the various forms of media culture that now exist. consider the ways in which mass media represent social and individual identity, the issues relating to ethnicity, race, gender, and the globalisation of culture. This programme offers students a chance to learn the basic skills involved in digital film productions and will carry out their own media projects, providing them with a range of transferable skills and disciplines that make them attractive to employers.
