The Robert Walters European Job Index tracks job advertisement volumes across the leading job boards in Belgium, Ireland France, Germany, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland and the UK.

Released on a quarterly basis, the latest figures show that despite overall advertising levels remaining largely flat quarter on quarter, there were pockets of increased advertising activity.

Louise Campbell, Managing Director at Robert Walters Ireland, says:

“The Irish results indicate solid demand for professionals in legal, banking and financial services, IT, accounting and compliance, a trend we expect to continue into the first quarter of 2014. With positive growth seen across these key sectors, we anticipate an increase in demand for junior and mid-level roles as businesses expand their teams and boost supporting functions.”

A demand for corporate legal professionals resulted in an increase in legal job advertisements of 16% from quarter three.

Strong demand also remains for IT professionals in Ireland.
