Student Testimonial: Stephanie Chen, MSc in Information and Library Management

I am originally from Los Angeles, California. I decided to come to Dublin Business School to pursue my masters in Information and Library Management because it offers a great education at a more affordable price than in the States. The program is also accredited by the Library Association of Ireland, which is recognized by the American Library Association. Plus, it gave me the opportunity to experience living in a new place. Dublin is a great city with many wonderful people, numerous things to do, and a vibrant culture.

What really drew me to the Information and Library Management program was the practical nature of the course. For example, this semester, we were able to design our own information literacy program and create a library website. We were also able to visit the National Library of Ireland and have had insightful guest lecturers from all areas of librarianship. Another exciting aspect I’m looking forward to is the built in work placement which will allow me to gain real life experience.

All of the experienced lecturers have been helpful, approachable, and passionate about the material. In addition, the library staff at DBS are absolutely wonderful and a great resource to have.

I would definitely recommend MSc Information and Library Management program at DBS.  The program will give you a strong, academic foundation as well as practical, transferrable skills.
