Professional Courses in Counselling, Child Psychology and Addiction Studies

For over two decades, Dublin Business School have been established and respected providers of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the areas of Psychology, Counselling and Psychotherapy and Addiction Studies. Our programmes are recognised by professional accreditation bodies including the Psychological Society of Ireland and the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.

 



In response to demand, we are offering a year-long Diploma in Psychology and  a number of 10 week Professional Evening Diploma Courses in these areas. These courses are designed to equip students with an excellent knowledge of the area to support their current occupation or interest, and applications are now being accepted for February 2013 start dates.

The programmes additionally serve as an ideal opportunity for students to sample an academic area before committing to a degree or masters programme in the future.

With a demonstrable increasing demand for Project Managers, a recognised qualification in Project Management is an essential addition to your CV this year, whether your are working within the industry or seeking a change in career direction.

 

Dublin Business School is a Recognised Education Provider (REP) of the Project Management Institute (PMI) and we offer two short  skills-based Project Management programmes starting in February 2013:



Diploma in Project Management

  • The course is designed to examine project management roles and environments, the project life cycle, and various tools and techniques of project initiation, planning, execution, control and close-out to successfully achieve project objectives
  • The course explores the social, organisational, behavioural, and systems issues of project management and the programme will ultimately provide a framework for managing projects
  • The students upon completion will understand the core competencies required to make an effective prohect manager including communications, leadership, motivation, negotiation and team building skills
  • Starting Thursday February 7th for the duration of 14 weeks + 1  Saturday workshop


Advanced Diploma in Project Management

  • Incorporating preparation for the Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification Examination, the main focus of this programme will centre on the five projects management processes of Initiation, Planning, Execution, Control and Close-out
  • The programme will bring participants up to speed in the current principles and practices of project management and students will study techniques that help prepare for the PMI examinations 
  • Sample questions are used in the classroom extensively, a review of material normally covered in the examination will be presented
  • Starting  Tuesday February 12th for the duration of  14 weeks

Final DBS Open Event for Spring 2013 study: Tuesday 29th January, 5-7pm
13/14 Aungier Street, Dublin 2

Our Open Events give potential students the ideal opportunity to meet the academic & admissions teams at DBS, as well as discuss courses in which they are interested or may be interested in to progress their education and career. Our team will also be able to discuss some of the learning and information services at DBS while also giving you insight into what DBS can offer you as a student.

The final Open Event for Spring  2013 study is taking place on Tuesday January 29th from 5.00pm - 7.00pm.
